Karakoram Mountain Experts is a premier expedition company based in the heart of Hunza, Pakistan. We specialize in arranging world-class tours and trekking experiences for international travelers. Our native team provides expert local logistics for K2, Broad Peak, and the technical passes of the Karakoram.

Karakorum Experts was built on a simple conviction: the best guide to any mountain is the person who has spent a lifetime knowing it. Not reading about it. Knowing it — the way the wind changes above 5,000 metres, where the hidden campsites are, which passes flood in early summer, and how to move through these ranges with confidence, safety, and joy.

Our company grew out of the guiding life of Manzoor Karim Farhadi, a native of Shimshal village in Gojal, Hunza, Gilgit-Baltistan. Shimshal is no ordinary place. Nestled at 3,100 metres, surrounded by some of the world’s most dramatic glacier systems, it is a community whose people have guided mountaineers, surveyors, and adventurers for over a century. Manzoor grew up in this tradition — and turned it into a lifelong profession.
